IN IT’S 20TH SEASON, THE WOMENS WESTERN COLLEGIATE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION IS RECOGNIZING A TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY TEAM. THE LATEST NAMED TO THAT GROUP IS FORMER WARROAD WARRIOR GIGI MARVIN, A THREE-TIME U.S. OLYMPIAN WHO’S STILL PLAYING HOCKEY FOR THE BOSTON PRIDE OF THE NATIONAL WOMEN’S HOCKEY LEAGUE. OTHER PREVIOUS HONOREES INCLUDE THE LAMOUREUX TWINS AND NATALIE DARWITZ.

GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - ROSEAU IS AT PEQUOT LAKES; The Rams play at Bigfork tomorrow. LAKE OF THE WOODS PLAYS AT WARROAD.

BOYS HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY LAST NIGHT - OLIVER LEE MADE 14 SAVES AND ROSEAU SHUT OUT WARROAD 5-0; AARON HUGLEN HAD A GOAL AND TWO ASSISTS FOR THE RAMS. CALVIN HANSON SCORED FOUR TIMES AS KITTSON COUNTY CENTRAL BEAT LAKE OF THE WOODS 7-3. EAST GRAND FORKS EDGED BEMIDJI 3-2.

HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING - CROOKSTON GOT BY ROSEAU 36-28; RAMS WINNERS INCLUDED RACE KNOCHENMUS, CHANDLER MOONEY, BEN OLSON, DALE GRINDAHL AND SAWYER KLATT.

BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL – NATHAN O’CONNOR’S 16 POINTS HELPED ROSEAU WHIP GRYGLA-GOODRIDGE 55-36.

GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL – B-G-MR NEARLY DOUBLED GRYGLA-GOODRIDGE 63-32; ALYSSA RINDE SCORED 20, AND LEXIE BENKE 17 POINTS FOR THE GATORS; MACI BAKKEN LED THE CHARGERS WITH 18. THE NORTHERN FREEZE TOPPED RED LAKE FALLS 62-42.
