A PUBLIC MEETING FOR REVIEW OF NEW WINTER WALLEYE AND SAUGER REGULATIONS ON LAKE OF THE WOODS IS THIS EVENING (6-9 PM) AT THE LAKE OF THE WOODS SCHOOL IN BAUDETTE.

THE AGASSIZ AUDUBON SOCIETY HAS STARTED A NEW BIRDWATCHING PROGRAM AT SCHOOLS, AND THE ANGLE INLET SCHOOL AT THE NORTHWEST ANGLE IS ONE OF FIVE IN NORTHWESTERN MINNESOTA PARTICIPATING.
THE ANGLE INLET SCHOOL IS PART OF THE WARROAD SCHOOL DISTRICT.

FIVE PEOPLE WERE INDUCTED IN THE ROSEAU ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME YESTERDAY, INCLUDING DALE SMEDSMO, LAURA LUNDBOHM, THE LATE PETE GROSCHUPF, WAYNE BRADLEY AND FORMER RAMS BOYS HOCKEY COACH GARY HOKANSON. HOKANSON COACHED THE RAMS FROM 1977 TO 1990, AND TAUGHT AT THE ROSEAU SCHOOL FOR MORE THAN THREE DECADES.
THE 2001 STATE CHAMPION RAMS GIRLS GOLF TEAM WAS ALSO INDUCTED.

23-YEAR-OLD BROCK RIEPPEL OF WHEATON, MINNESOTA SUSTAINED NON LIFE THREATENING INJURIES LATE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, WHEN HIS CAR STRUCK A TURKEY, LOST CONTROL AND WENT OFF THE ROAD. THAT HAPPENED ON HIGHWAY 27 IN TRAVERSE COUNTY.
