PARENTS CAN LOOK FOR THE APPLICATION FOR FREE OR REDUCED BREAKFAST AND LUNCH APPLICATION TO ARRIVE BY MAIL MID-MONTH. EVEN IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO USE THE PROGRAM, YOU’RE URGED TO FILL OUT THE APPLICATION AS THE SCHOOL CAN RECEIVE FUNDING FOR OTHER SERVICES. TEACHERS RETURN FROM SUMMER RECESS ON AUGUST 27TH.

A DOCUMENTARY SHORT FILM CALLED “SMALL TOWN ROBOT” WILL BE SHOWN AUGUST 15TH AT THE ROSO THEATRE. IT’S A STORY ABOUT THE GREENBUSH-MIDDLE RIVER FIRST ROBOTICS TEAM, WHICH WAS A STATE CHAMPION LAST SPRING. JOE BRANDMEIER OF EDINA IS THE DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER OF THE FILM.


AUDITIONS FOR PRAIRIE FIRE THEATRE’S MUSICAL PRODUCTION OF “CINDERELLA” ARE AUGUST 13TH AT THE ROSEAU SCHOOL THEATRE. AS MANY AS 76 CHILDREN ARE NEEDED FOR THE SHOW, WHICH WILL BE PERFORMED AUGUST 17TH (7 PM) AT THE THEATRE. BORDER STATE BANKS IN THE AREA ARE ONCE AGAIN COLLECTING SCHOOL SUPPLIES THAT WOULD BE DONATED TO THEIR LOCAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THOSE DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED THROUGH MID AUGUST.


A RECENT BLOOD DRIVE IN ROSEAU SAW 126 PEOPLE DONATE BLOOD OVER TWO DAYS. THAT YEILDED 135 UNITS FOR PATIENTS IN NEED. UNITED BLOOD SERVICES LOOKS TO KEEP A 5-DAY SUPPLY OF BLOOD ON HAND AT ALL TIMES, AS THEY SERVE 70 HOSPITALS THROUGHOUT THE REGION.
