FUNERAL SERVICES FOR CARROLL “CAPPY” KARLSEN OF WARROAD ARE THIS MORNING AT ELEVEN AT ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH IN WARROAD. MILITARY HONORS ARE BY THE WARROAD AMERICAN LEGION AND V.F.W. BURIAL IS AT RIVERSIDE CEMETERY. CAPPY KARLSEN WAS 88.

THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL MEETS THIS EVENING. AMONG OTHER BUSINESS, THE COUNCIL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DISCUSSIONS ON THE 2019 CITY BUDGET.

A NUMBER OF FACILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS HAVE BEEN UNDERTAKEN AT THE ROSEAU SCHOOL THIS SUMMER, INCLUDING COMPUTER NETWORK UPGRADES, A SWIMMING POOL CLIMBING WALL; AND THE ROSEAU HIGH SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION CLASS WILL RE-SHINGLE PART OF THE RAMS SPORTS CENTER THIS FALL.

‘WIC’ CLINICS ARE TODAY IN NEWFOLDEN; TOMORROW IN HALLOCK; WEDNESDAY AT THE WARROAD AREA COMMUNITY CENTER; AND THURSDAY IN RED LAKE FALLS.

ALTRU CLINIC/WARROAD HAS HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PHYSICALS WEDNESDAY MORNING (Nine to Noon) AND AFTERNOON (One to Five). ALTRU CLINIC/ROSEAU HAS SPORTS PHYSICALS AVAILABLE THURSDAY AFTERNOON (1-4:30 PM). THE COST IS 35 DOLLARS, WITH FEES DONATED BACK TO HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC PROGRAMS.

SUMMER EXPLORERS YOUTH PROGRAMMING AT THE ROSEAU COUNTY MUSEUM CONTINUES TOMORROW MORNING (10 A.M.) WITH ANIMAL TRACKERS; WHERE KIDS WILL LEARN ABOUT ANIMALS THAT LIVE IN ROSEAU COUNTY.
