AUDITIONS FOR PRAIRIE FIRE THEATRE’S MUSICAL PRODUCTION OF “CINDERELLA” ARE AUGUST 13TH AT THE ROSEAU SCHOOL THEATRE. AS MANY AS 76 CHILDREN ARE NEEDED FOR THE SHOW, WHICH WILL BE PERFORMED AUGUST 17TH (7 PM) AT THE THEATRE.

SCHOOL DISTRICTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE THAT SERVICE FOR STUDENT ASSESSMENTS; SOLLUND HAS WORKED IN THE ROSEAU DISTRICT FOR FIFTEEN YEARS. SUPERINTENDENT LARRY GUGGISBERG SAYS HIRING A FULLTIME SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST WOULD COST NEARLY ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR.



ROSEAU’S AARON HUGLEN PLAYS IN THE HLINKA/ GRETZKY CUP HOCKEY TOURNAMENT, STARTING MONDAY IN EDMONTON, ALBERTA. HE’S ONE OF FOUR MINNESOTANS ON THE TEAM USA U18 ROSTER, COACHED BY HAMLINE UNIVERSITY COACH CORY LAYLIN.

THE NORTHWEST MINNESOTA FOUNDATION HAS RECEIVED A ONE HUNDRED NINETY EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLAR GRANT FROM THE BLUE CROSS FOUNDATION OF MINNESOTA FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD CARE AND EDUCATION. THE NORTHWEST FOUNDATION WILL WORK WITH PEACEMAKER RESOURCES TO HELP NEW AND EXISTING LICENSED CHILD CARE PROVIDERS IN BELTRAMI, HUBBARD, CLEARWATER AND MAHNOMEN COUNTIES; AND THE RED LAKE AND WHITE EARTH TRIBAL COMMUNITIES WITH IMPROVED STRATEGIES FOR ADDRESSING SOCIAL/EMOTIONAL BEHAVIORS OF KIDS IN THEIR CARE.
