AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – ROSEAU SPLIT A HOME DOUBLEHEADER WITH RED LAKE FALLS, LOSING THE OPENER 3-2; AND CLAIMING THE NIGHTCAP 6-5 (EIGHT INNINGS). STARTING PITCHERS OLIVER LEE OF ROSEAU AND AUSTIN JENSEN OF RED LAKE FALLS BOTH WENT THE 7 INNING DISTANCE IN THE OPENER; AND LEE HAD TWO OF ROSEAU’S SEVEN SINGLES. GAVIN GUNDERSON HAD THREE HITS AND DROVE IN TWO RUNS IN THE LATER GAME AS ROSEAU TIED THE GAME IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 7TH INNING, AND SCORED TWICE IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 8TH FOR THE WIN. ROSEAU HOSTS THIEF RIVER FALLS NEXT MONDAY EVENING.

WARROAD LOST A PAIR OF GAME TO THE GRAND FORKS ROYALS, 5-1 AND 7-3. THE ROYALS HAD FOUR RUN INNINGS IN BOTH GAMES. ZACH FOSTER AND MAX GAUSEN EACH HAD TWO HITS FOR WARROAD IN THE OPENER; AND GAGE WILMER HAD TWO HITS IN THE LATER GAME.

HOCKEY DAY MINNESOTA NEXT YEAR WILL BE IN BEMIDJI IN MID JANUARY.
