DRUG INVESTIGATIONS IN HUBBARD COUNTY HAVE LED TO THE ARREST OF 29 PEOPLE FOR SALES OF METH AND OPIODS. THOSE ARRESTED RANGE IN AGE FROM 26 TO 69 AND WERE FROM PARK RAPIDS, NEVIS, AKELEY, AND MENAHGA.

LANCE SCHOEBERL AND HIS WIFE JAQUELINE OF PARK RAPIDS WERE BOTH ARRESTED, HE HAD TWO PREVIOUS CONVICTIONS OF SELLING METH, WHILE MARK LEPPER, ALSO OF PARK RAPIDS, WAS ARRESTED WITH METH AND NEARLY FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS ON HIM AT THE TIME. ANOTHER SOLD MORPHINE PILLS TO A CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANT.

ALL CASES WILL BE PROSECUTED BY THE HUBBARD COUNTY ATTORNEY’S OFFICE.

APPLICATIONS FOR BEAR HUNTING LISCENSES ARE BEING ACCECPTED THROUGH MAY 4TH. A TOTAL OF 3,350 LISCENSES IN 13 PERMIT AREAS ARE AVAILABLE. LOTTERY WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY JUNE 1ST, WITH A DEADLINE OF AUGUST 1ST TO THEN PURCHASE THE LICENSE. ANY REMAINING LICENSES WOULD GO ON SALE AUGUST 6TH.
