ROSEAU’S GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM MAKES IT’S FOURTH STRAIGHT STATE TOURNAMENT APPEARANCE WEDNESDAY, AT WILLIAMS ARENA IN MINNEAPOLIS. THE DEFENDING CLASS “AA” CHAMPIONS ARE SEEDED THIRD, AND WILL PLAY TRACY/MILROY/BALATON WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

SAUK CENTRE IS THE TOP SEED IN CLASS “AA”, WITH MARANATHA CHRISTIAN ACADEMY SECOND.



SECTION 8A CHAMPION STEPHEN-ARGYLE DREW THE NUMBER TWO SEED, MOUNTAIN IRON/BUHL, FOR THURSDAY’S CLASS “A” QUARTERFINALS.



THIEF RIVER FALLS BEAT MANKATO EAST 5-1 SATURDAY FOR THE BOYS HOCKEY CLASS “A” CONSOLATION TROPHY; AARON MEYERS HAD TWO GOALS AND TWO ASSISTS FOR THE PROWLERS.

ORONO TOPPED ALEXANDRIA 2-1 FOR THE CLASS “A” BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP; MINNETONKA KNOCKED OFF DULUTH EAST 5-2 FOR THE CLASS “AA” TITLE.



BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - IN SECTION 8AA QUARTERFINALS, OSAKIS ENDED WARROAD’S SEASON WITH A 50-39 WIN. JETT SHOEN LED THE WARRIORS WITH 22 POINTS.

IN CLASS “A” QUARTERFINALS, ADA-BORUP ROLLED OVER STEPHEN-ARGYLE 64-28. FERTILE-BELTRAMI, CASS LAKE-BENA AND WIN-E-MAC ALSO ADVANCED.
