ROSEAU'S BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM SAW THEIR SEASON END LAST NIGHT IN THE OPENING ROUND OF SECTION 8AA PLAYOFFS, LOSING 70-62 TO THE WARROAD WARRIORS. TYLER SHOEN HIT SEVEN THREE-POINTERS, FINISHING WITH 21 POINTS. ERIC HOFFER AND NATE CORBIT SCORED 17 POINTS AND 15 POINTS RESPECTIVELY. ROSEAU HAD GOTTEN A 17 POINT DEFICIT TO AS LITTLE AS 4 AT IT'S CLOSEST POINT.

WARROAD WILL PLAY OSAKIS TOMORROW, AFTER THEY DEALT WITH BARNESVILLE.



IN 8A BOYS BASKETBALL, BGMR WAS BEATEN BY TOP SEED ADA BORUP... THE NORTHERN FREEZE FEEL TO FERTILE-BELTRAMI... GOODRIDGE-GRYGLA LOST TO 2ND SEED FOSSTON.

KITTSON COUNTY CENTRAL REMAINS ALIVE. THE BEARCATS GOT A 6 POINT WIN, 53-47, OVER STEPHEN-ARGYLE.



ROSEAU'S GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM PLAYS EAST GRAND FORKS TONIGHT FOR THE SECTION 8AA CHAMPIONSHIP, AND A PLACE AT THE STATE TOURNAMENT. THAT GAME IS PLAYED IN CROOKSTON, AND CAN BE HEARD HERE ON WILD 102.



IN CLASS A, THE TOP TWO SEEDS MEET FOR THE SECTION TITLE. STEPHEN-ARGYLE FROM THE WEST, MEETS RED LAKE FROM THE EAST TONIGHT IN THIEF RIVER FALLS.



AFTER BEING SHUTOUT BY ALEXANDRIA IN THE OPENING ROUND OF THE CLASS A STATE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT, THIEF RIVER FALLS SHUTOUT MONTICELLO 3-0, TO STAY ALIVE FOR A CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP. THEY'LL PLAY MANKATO EAST THIS MORNING.



SECTION 8AA CHAMPION ST. MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE COULDN'T KEEP PACE WITH THE GREYHOUNDS OF DULUTH EAST. AFTER A FAIRLY EVENLY PLAYED FIRST PERIOD, AND TRAILING ONLY 1-0... THE KNIGHTS SAW EAST SCORE THREE GOALS IN A SPAN OF 1:45... EVENTUALLY ENDING IN A 5-0 SCORE.

EDINA, CENTENNIAL, AND MINNETONKA WERE YOUR OTHER QUARTERFINAL WINNERS.
