BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL - THE SECTION 8AA TOURNAMENT STARTS TONIGHT, WITH THE 2ND SEED IN THE NORTH HALF - ROSEAU - HOSTING WARROAD.

THE WINNER PLAYS 3RD SOUTH SEED OSAKIS OR BARNESVILLE.

NUMBER ONE SEEDS ARE HAWLEY IN THE NORTH, AND PERHAM IN THE SOUTH.



SUBSECTION 8A BOYS BASKETBALL QUARTERFINAL GAMES TONIGHT INCLUDE B-G-MR AGAINST THE TOP SEED IN THE WEST (ADA-BORUP) and KITTSON COUNTY CENTRAL VERSUS STEPHEN-ARGYLE (AT MINNESOTA/CROOKSTON).
THE NORTHERN FREEZE AND FERTILE-BELTRAMI (AT NORTHLAND COLLEGE IN THIEF RIVER FALLS) and GRYGLA-GOODRIDGE AT FOSSTON.



THE BOYS CLASS “AA” STATE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT STARTS TODAY IN ST PAUL. SECTION 8AA CHAMP ST MICHAEL-ALBERTVILLE PLAYS 3RD SEED DULUTH EAST THIS AFTERNOON; MINNETONKA IS THE TOP SEED.

IN CLASS “A” STATE TOURNAMENT PLAY YESTERDAY.

SECTION 8A CHAMPION THIEF RIVER FALLS WAS SHUTOUT 1-0 BY ALEXANDRIA. THE PROWLERS OUTSHOT THE CARDINALS 10-3 IN THE THIRD PERIOD, TRYING FOR THE TYING GOAL, BUT COULDN'T BEAT GOALTENDER JACKSON BOLINE. SEEDS 1, 2, AND 3... HERMANTOWN, MAHTOMEDI, AND ORONO ALL ADVANCED.



ROSEAU’S GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM PLAYS EAST GRAND FORKS TOMORROW NIGHT (AT CROOKSTON) FOR THE SECTION 8AA TITLE; THE TWO TEAMS SPLIT TWO CLOSE GAMES DURING THE REGULAR SEASON.
