NORTHWEST MINNESOTA AND THE RED RIVER VALLEY EXPERIENCED BLIZZARD LIKE CONDITIONS YESTERDAY AND LAST NIGHT. REPORTED SNOWFALL NUMBERS, ACCORDING TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE, WERE NINE INCHES IN WARROAD, AND ELEVEN IN ROOSEVELT. THE TWIN CITIES DID SEE SOME OF THE STORM, BUT ONLY REPORTED 2.1 INCHES.


ROSEAU, KITTSON CENTRAL, STEPHEN-ARGYLE, GRYGLA, BADGER, TRI-COUNTY, AND GREENBUSH-MIDDLE RIVER SCHOOLS ALL GET A 2-HOUR LATE START THIS MORNING.

LAKE OF THE WOODS AND WARROAD HAVE CANCELLED CLASSES ALTOGETHER.


THE ROSEAU HIGH SCHOOL BAND CONCERT HAD TO BE POSTPONED LAST NIGHT. IT'S NOW SET FOR DECEMBER 18TH.


THE FOURTOWN GRYGLA SPORTSMANS CLUB WILL HOLD THEIR REGULAR DECEMBER MEETING ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19TH AT THE THIEF RIVER FALLS LEGION AT 7 PM.


A CHRISTMAS MUSICAL, "LIGHT OF THE WORLD" WILL BE PERFORMED ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 17TH AT BOTH OUR REDEEMER'S LUTHERAN CHURCH (4 PM) AND FIRST UNITED LUTHERAN CHURCH IN ROSEAU (7 PM). IT CELEBRATES THE BIRTH OF CHRIST, AND IS DIRECTED BY MARY KARL.


FUNERAL SERVICES FOR DONALD AUSTAD OF WARROAD WILL BE HELD FRIDAY AT 1 PM AT LAKE BRONSON COMMUNITY COVENANT CHURCH. VISITATION IS THURSDAY EVENING (5-7) WITH A 7:00 PRAYER SERVICE AT HELGESON FUNERAL HOME IN WARROAD. INTERMENT WILL BE AT RIVERSIDE CEMETERY IN LAKE BRONSON. DONALD AUSTAD WAS 64.
