THE BADGER BAPTIST CHURCH WILL HOST A FREE FOUR P.M. THANKSGIVING DINNER NOVEMBER 23RD FOR ANYBODY IN THE GREENBUSH/BADGER/ROSEAU AREA WHO DON’T HAVE FAMILY TO CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY WITH.
THEY’RE ASKING FOR AN R.S.V.P. SO THEY CAN PLAN THE NUMBER OF MEALS THEY WOULD SERVE.



THE BLANDIN FOUNDATION RECENTLY AWARDED A TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR GRANT TO NORTHWEST COMMUNITY ACTION, WHICH WILL WORK WITH THE ROSEAU ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE TO DETERMINE THE LEVEL OF MARKET DEMAND FOR HIGH SPEED INTERNET IN THE CO-OP SERVICE AREA.

IN ROSEAU COUNTY, THIRTY-EIGHT PERCENT OF HOUSEHOLDS ARE CONSIDERED UN-SERVED; MEANING THEY LACK ACCESS TO INTERNET SERVICE OF AT LEAST 25 MEGABITS PER SECOND DOWNLOAD.



MINNESOTA GOVERNOR MARK DAYTON IS ENCOURAGING STATE RESIDENTS TO APPLY TO SERVE ON A STATE BOARD OR COMMISSION.

THERE ARE CURRENTLY MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED OPENINGS ON BOARDS LIKE THE JUVENILE JUSTICE ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND THE BOARD OF WATER AND SOIL RESOURCES.

AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING IS WEDNESDAY EVENING (6-8 PM) AT THE NORTHWEST MINNESOTA FOUNDATION OFFICE IN BEMIDJI.
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 27TH.



THE ROSEAU CITY COUNCIL, LAST WEEK, ACCEPTED A TWO THOUSAND DOLLAR GRANT FROM THE HARTZ FOUNDATION AND LIFECARE MEDICAL CENTER; AND A FOUR HUNDRED DOLLAR GRANT FROM THE NORTHWEST MINNESOTA FOUNDATION.

THAT NORTHWEST MINNESOTA GRANT WAS FOR THE GAZEBO CONCERT FUND.



THE ROSEAU COUNTY ASSESSOR’S OFFICE SAYS IF YOU OWN AND OCCUPY A RESIDENCE THAT YOU DIDN’T LAST JANUARY; OR IF YOU OCCUPY A RESIDENT OWNED BY A RELATIVE; YOU CAN APPLY FOR A HOMESTEAD CLASSIFICATION BY DECEMBER 15TH.

CONGRESSMAN COLLIN PETERSON SPOKE AT A FRIDAY VETERANS DAY PROGRAM AT THE TRI-COUNTY SCHOOL IN KARLSTAD.

STATE REPRESENTATIVE DAN FABIAN OF ROSEAU WAS THE SPEAKER AT A FRIDAY VETERANS DAY PROGRAM AT THE MARSHALL COUNTY CENTRAL SCHOOL IN NEWFOLDEN.



A NEW ROSEAU COUNTY HIGHWAY SHOP IN GREENBUSH IS CLOSE TO COMPLETION. THE BUILDING WILL BE SHARED BY THE COUNTY, AND BY THE CITY OF GREENBUSH AS A MAINTENANCE FACILITY.
ROSEAU COUNTY PAID 686 THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR THE STRUCTURE; THE CITY OF GREENBUSH WILL REIMBURSE THE COUNTY ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS OVER FIVE YEARS, AND WILL PAY UTILITY COSTS FOR THE BUILDING FOR FIFTY YEARS.

42 YEAR OLD ROBERT DONARSKI OF ALVARADO APPARENTLY FAILED TO YIELD TO 60 YEAR OLD DEBORAH BERGH OF HALLOCK; SHE WAS SOUTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY 75.

16 YEAR OLD ISIAH DONARSKI OF ALVARADO, DEBORAH BERGH AND 36 YEAR OLD KRISTEN BERGH OF HALLOCK WERE TAKEN TO NORTH VALLEY HEALTH CARE IN WARREN.
