AFTER SHOOTING ROUNDS OF 78 AND 91, ROSEAU’S GINA WENSLOFF HAS QUALIFIED FOR THE STATE CLASS “AA” GIRLS GOLF TOURNAMENT. WENSLOFF FINISHED 7TH AT THE SECTION 8AA TOURNEY. CROOKSTON’S ALLIE TIEDEMANN WAS THE MEDALIST AFTER ROUNDS OF 76 AND 80.

THE RAMS’ IZAAK OLSON JUST MISSED A STATE TOURNAMENT TEE-TIME; HE SHOT 78 AND 79 AT THE TOURNAMENT IN BEMIDJI.

ROSEAU’S GUS VATNSDAL FIRED 77 AND 84; AND QUINN TANGEN HAD TWO ROUNDS AT 84.




WARROAD IS IN THE DRIVERS SEAT AT THE SECTION 8AA BASEBALL TOURNAMENT, AFTER BEATING PERHAM 9-5 IN THE WINNERS BRACKET. BEAU WILMER EARNED THE WIN, AS THE WARRIORS BANGED OUT TWELVE HITS; PHILLIP NESS HOMERED TWICE WHILE WARROAD WAS BUILDING A 9-0 LEAD.

B-G-MR WILL MEET FOSSTON TOMORROW FOR THE SECTION 8A CHAMPIONSHIP, AFTER THE GATORS STAYED ALIVE IN THAT DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT, WITH A 5-4 WIN OVER WEST MARSHALL, AND A 12-2 SHELLACKING OF RED LAKE COUNTY.

B-G-MR SCORED THE GAME WINNER IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 7TH IN THE FIRST GAME; AND DEREK KNUTSON HAD THREE HITS, SCORED THREE RUNS AND DROVE IN FOUR IN THE SECOND GAME.




ROSEAU’S BRYDEN STOSKOPF WAS TAKEN IN THE 12TH ROUND OF THE NORTH AMERICAN HOCKEY LEAGUE DRAFT BY THE MINNESOTA WILDERNESS.
