THE BASEBALL SEASON FOR THE ROSEAU RAMS CAME TO A CLOSE IN CROOKSTON YESTERDAY, FOLLOWING LOSSES TO TOP SEED WARROAD 14-7 AND A 4-3 WALKOFF DEFEAT BY PARK RAPIDS.

WARROAD OUTHIT ROSEAU 13-10 IN THE OPENING GAME, LED BY PHILLIP NESS’ 3-4 PERFORMANCE WHICH INCLUDED A TRIPLE AND TWO RBI. BRYCE JOHNSON WENT 3-3 WITH A DOUBLE AND TWO RUNS BATTED IN.

GABE CARLSON SCATTERED FIVE HITS WHILE STRIKING OUT THREE AND ALLOWED ONLY ONE EARNED RUN AGAINST PARK RAPIDS, AND THE RAMS WOULD LEAD PARK RAPIDS BY A RUN INTO THE SEVENTH, ONLY TO BE WALKED OFF BY A SUICIDE SQUEEZE.

THE RAMS SEASON ENDS WITH A 9-14 RECORD.

IN SECTION 8AA, DILWORTH-GLYNDON-FELTON BEAT EAST GRAND FORKS TWICE, 4-2 AND 4-3 TO ADVANCE TO THE STATE TOURNAMENT IN MANKATO NEXT WEEK.




ROSEAU’S SUB-SECTION CHAMPION TRACK TEAMS COMPETE TOMORROW AT THE SECTION 8A TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN WARREN.

WARROAD, LAKE OF THE WOODS AND BGMR/FREEZE WILL BE REPRESENTED AS WELL.
