ROSEAU’S GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM CAME BACK HOME YESTERDAY WITH A STATE CLASS “AA” CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY, AFTER SATURDAY’S 75-64 WIN OVER SAUK CENTRE.

THE RAMS HAD TOP FOUR FINISHES THE PREVIOUS TWO YEARS, BEFORE GOING 32-0 AND WINNING THE STATE TITLE THIS YEAR.

KILEY BOROWICZ, KACIE BOROWICZ AND VICTORIA JOHNSON WERE NAMED TO THE ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM.

OVER THE PAST TWENTY YEARS, ROSEAU HAS HAD STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS IN BOYS HOCKEY (TWICE), GIRLS GOLF (TWICE) AND GIRLS TRACK; BUT THE RAMS HAVE ALSO HAD SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS IN FOOTBALL, BOYS AND GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY, VOLLEYBALL, TENNIS, GIRLS HOCKEY, BOYS GOLF, BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL DURING THAT SPAN.




THE STATE BOYS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS ARE THIS WEEK; SECTION 8A CHAMP RED LAKE PLAYS TOP SEED MINNEAPOLIS NORTH; AND SECTION 8AA CHAMPION BRECKENRIDGE MEETS CROSBY-IRONTON.




AT THE MINNESOTA HOCKEY STATE TOURNAMENTS, EDINA BEAT ANDOVER 2-1 FOR THE 12U CHAMPIONSHIP.

NORTH WRIGHT COUNTY OUTLASTED ANOKA-ROGERS 2-1 (IN FIVE OVERTIMES) FOR THIRD PLACE.

ROSEAU’S 12U GIRLS LOST TO ANDOVER AND STILLWATER AT THAT TOURNAMENT.


WHITE BEAR LAKE BEAT OSSEO-MAPLE GROVE 5-2 FOR THE BANTAM “AA” TITLE.


CHASKA-CHANHASSEN EDGED OSSEO-MAPLE GROVE 3-2 (OVERTIME) FOR THE PEE-WEE “AA” CROWN.


AT THE PEE-WEE “A” TOURNAMENT, WARROAD BEAT SARTELL 5-2 FOR A CONSOLATION TROPHY.


ROSEAU’S BANTAMS PLAY AT THE STATE V.F.W. TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND IN WHITE BEAR LAKE.
