ROSEAU HAS DRAWN THE NUMBER ONE SEED FOR THE STATE CLASS “AA” GIRLS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT. THE RAMS WILL PLAY NEW RICHLAND/ HARTLAND/ ELLENDALE/ GENEVA WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON (2 PM @ MARIUCCI ARENA IN MINNEAPOLIS).

THE RAMS ARE MAKING THEIR 3RD STRAIGHT TRIP TO STATE; NEW RICHLAND WON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN 2013 AND 2014.




WARROAD PLAYS TOP SEED PERHAM TOMORROW NIGHT IN THE SECTION 8AA BOYS BASKETBALL SEMIFINALS.

ISAAC STOSKOPF SCORED 19 POINTS SATURDAY IN THE WARRIORS’ 54-53 QUARTERFINAL WIN OVER PELICAN RAPIDS.

IN SUBSECTION 8A BOYS BASKETBALL, TOMORROW’S TITLE GAMES HAVE RED LAKE VERSUS CASS LAKE; AND STEPHEN-ARGYLE PLAYING ADA-BORUP.




TWO FORMER ROSEAU RAMS ARE PLAYING IN THE NCAA WOMEN’S HOCKEY FROZEN FOURS. IN DIVISION ONE, TIANNA GUNDERSON AND MINNESOTA PLAY CLARKSON (IN ST LOUIS); THE GOPHERS EDGED MINNESOTA/DULUTH 1-0 SATURDAY.

IN DIVISION THREE, ADELLE MURPHY AND NORWICH PLAY PLATTSBURGH STATE; MURPHY HAD THE GAME-TYING GOAL SATURDAY AND NORWICH BEAT MIDDLEBURY IN OVERTIME IN THE FIRST ROUND.




CASEY MITTELSTADT OF EDEN PRAIRIE IS THE 2017 MINNESOTA MR HOCKEY AWARD WINNER. PREVIOUS WINNERS INCLUDE LARRY OLIMB OF WARROAD (1988); AND AARON NESS OF ROSEAU (2008).
