ROSEAU’S GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM MEETS DILWORTH-GLYNDON-FELTON THIS EVENING (6 PM) IN A SECTION 8AA SEMIFINAL GAME (AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA/CROOKSTON and on WILD 102 FM). THE UNBEATEN RAMS ARE THE TOP SEED.

2ND SEED STAPLES-MOTLEY TAKES ON NUMBER 3 BARNESVILLE IN THE SECOND SEMIFINAL.




BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL –
IN SECTION 8A PLAY-IN GAMES, MAHNOMEN WON 66-58 AT LAKE OF THE WOODS; DESPITE 33 POINTS FROM THE BEARS’ JACOB FISH.

SUBSECTION QUARTERFINALS ARE THURSDAY; AMONG THOSE GAMES ARE MAHNOMEN AGAINST TOP SEED RED LAKE, KITTSON COUNTY CENTRAL VERSUS THE NORTHERN FREEZE AND GRYGLA-GOODRIDGE AND EAST GRAND FORKS SACRED HEART.




SECTION 8A GIRLS BASKETBALL SEMIFINALS ARE TONIGHT AT THIEF RIVER FALLS RED LAKE PLAYS CLEARBROOK-GONVICK FOLLOWED BY THE NORTHERN FREEZE AND SACRED HEART.




THE NCAA DIVISION ONE WOMEN’S HOCKEY QUARTERFINALS ARE THIS WEEKEND; ONE OF THOSE GAMES HAS DEFENDING CHAMPION MINNESOTA AT MINNESOTA-DULUTH. ROSEAU’S TIANNA GUNDERSON PLAYS FOR THE GOPHERS, AND WARROAD’S LYNN ASTRUP FOR THE BULLDOGS.

THE NCAA DIVISION THREE QUARTERFINALS ARE ALSO THIS WEEKEND; NORWICH PLAYS MIDDLEBURY IN ONE OF THE MATCHUPS; ROSEAU’S ADELLE MURPHY IS A SENIOR CAPTAIN AT NORWICH.

THE UNIVERSITY OF ST. THOMAS, FROM ST PAUL, PLAYS PLATTSBURG; WARROAD’S MAUREEN HARDWICK IS AN ASSISTANT COACH FOR THE TOMMIES AND GUSTAVUS ADOLPHUS MEETS WISCONSIN/ RIVER FALLS; WARROAD’S COURTNEY BETHUNE IS A SENIOR FOR THE GUSTIES.
