About Us WiLD102 launched March 1st, 2007 as a response to listeners requiring a mix of family-friendly music mixed with current chart toppers. On February 15th, 2007 a Roseau-based company called North Country Media, Inc, owned by Joseph Bain, bought the 102.1 frequency from Jax Broadcasting, Inc which ran the station as KJ102. Joseph Bain grew up in the Roseau area and continues to operate the station as a local broadcasting entity. In addition to WiLD 102 radio, North Country Media also operates Sjoberg's Channel 3 in the Roseau, Badger, and Greenbush markets and the area's largest web site development company.
